Sela Nomo D Kurd 9+3 Handpan

Handpan with D Kurd Tuning — Soft, Meditative Tones in Stainless Steel

The Sela Nomo Handpan D Kurd 9+3 is a 440 Hz handpan built around the most widely played scale in the handpan world. Nine tone fields sit on the upper shell, with three additional bottom notes (C3, F3, G3) opening up a deeper melodic range than a standard 9-note layout. Each note is hand-tuned, so the instrument arrives ready for meditation, sound-bath work or laid-back acoustic accompaniment.

Hand-Hammered Stainless Steel with Bottom-Note Range

Two stainless steel bowls are hand-hammered and joined with rubber strips, leaving a resonating opening on the underside that gives the drum its long sustain. The hammered tone fields are individually sized — smaller divots produce higher pitches, the central hump carries the fundamental note — so every stroke speaks clearly. Stainless steel keeps the instrument weather and humidity resistant for outdoor play on a damp morning or in a sun-warmed garden.
