Yamaha CK76 — A 76-Key Stage Keyboard Built for Anywhere

The Yamaha CK76 stage keyboard brings together the sound engines of Yamaha's CP Stage Piano and the organ- and synth-focused YC Stage Keyboard into a single portable instrument. Designed for keyboardists who split time between home studio, club stage and outdoor sessions, this model pairs 76 semi-weighted keys with built-in speakers and battery power. The CK76 is the right choice for players who need authentic piano, electric piano, organ and synth sounds in a rig they can carry under one arm. OS v2.0 adds new electric piano voices, new Live Sets and Advanced Split Mode.

What Sets the CK76 Apart in the Stage Keyboard Category

What makes this model stand out is the semi-weighted FSB action with initial touch, well suited to electric piano playing, without the weight of a fully graded hammer action. A dedicated organ section with physical drawbars, powered by the Organ Flutes tone generator, sits alongside Filter and Envelope Generator (EG) panel controls. Advanced Split Mode divides the keyboard into up to three playing areas, so a single player can split bass and piano or layer organ with strings.

Keyboard Action and Playing Feel

Yamaha describes the semi-weighted FSB keys as well suited to electric piano performance, with an improved feel when playing EP and organ sounds.

• Number of Keys: 76 — covers two-handed piano parts and most split setups without the footprint of an 88-key model
• Action Type: Semi-weighted FSB with initial touch — improved feel when playing EP and organ sounds

Tone Generation and Voice Library

CK76 runs two tone-generation systems in parallel: AWM2 for piano, electric piano, strings and synth voices, and AWM (Organ Flutes) for the dedicated organ section. With 128-note polyphony, layered performances have plenty of headroom.

• Tone Generating Technology: AWM2, AWM (Organ Flutes) — two engines cover acoustic, electric and organ sounds
• Polyphony: 128 notes — enough headroom for three-part splits with full effects
• Number of Voices: 363 — including CFX and S700 concert grands, Vintage and FM electric pianos and a wide range of organ sounds
• Live Set Sounds: 160 total (80 preset) — store and recall splits, layers, effects and A/D settings

Effects, I/O and Portability

Insertion effects (Drive, Effect 1, Effect 2) shape the sound in real time, with pitch bend and modulation wheels adding performance expression. Connectivity covers stage and studio needs: 6.3 mm line outputs, headphone jack, dual foot pedal inputs, MIDI In/Out, USB TO HOST/DEVICE, Bluetooth audio input and a stereo USB audio interface at 44.1 kHz.

• Insertion Effects: Drive (5 types), Effect 1 (36 types), Effect 2 (36 types) — plus Delay (4 types), Reverb (3 types), Master EQ (3-band)
• Built-in Amplification: 6 W x 2 with (12 cm x 6 cm) x 2 speakers — switchable on/off for stage or silent practice
• Dimensions: 1117 x 291 x 109 mm — fits the dedicated SC-DE76 soft case
• Weight: 6.7 kg (excluding batteries) — lightweight compared with the Yamaha YC and CP Series, easy to carry to outdoor gigs

Who Should Choose the Yamaha CK76

Built for gigging keyboardists who need authentic piano, organ and synth sounds in a single portable instrument, this stage keyboard suits players who do not want the weight of a fully graded action. It works well for organists who want dedicated organ drawbars without hauling a tonewheel organ, pianists who prefer a lighter keybed for fast synth-lead passages, and traveling solo performers who rely on built-in speakers and battery power for street, café and outdoor shows. The 76-key range covers two-handed piano parts and most split setups while staying compact enough for a small car or a backpack-style soft case.
